Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State is set to unveil 420 newly completed housing units at Ajara, Badagry, on Tuesday, October 8, 2025.
The commissioning of the Lagos State Housing Estate, Ajara Phase 1, is expected to boost the state’s housing stock and cater to the accommodation needs of over 2,000 residents.
Commissioner for Housing, Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, disclosed this during a media chat with journalists in his office on Tuesday.
According to him, the estate comprises 420 apartments, including one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units.
Akinderu-Fatai said the project aligns with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to provide affordable, quality housing and to complete all ongoing housing projects across the state.
He expressed delight over the project’s completion, noting its potential to stimulate economic activities in the Badagry area.
The Commissioner thanked prospective subscribers for their patience and confidence in the state government.
He also advised interested applicants to visit the Estate Department of the Ministry of Housing at Block 3, The Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, for genuine transactions.
He warned against dealing with unauthorized agents, stressing that the Ministry does not engage third parties in the sale of its housing units.
