Skyewise Group clarifies demolished Lekki office belongs to firm, not Ola of Lagos

Skyewise Group, a Nigerian conglomerate active in automotive sales and services, has clarified that the office demolished along the Lekki Expressway over the weekend belonged to the company, not Ola of Lagos.

In a statement, the group’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Elvis L. Abuyere, explained that the demolition was part of the Lagos State Government’s ongoing efforts to create access routes for new waterway developments.

“This unfortunate incident affected several car lots along the Lekki Expressway, starting from Phase 1, where the Skyewise Group office was located,” he said.

Dr Abuyere confirmed that the demolished building was fully owned by Skyewise Group, noting that a portion had been leased to Ola of Lagos for car hire services and the display of luxury vehicles for content creation.

“All necessary building approvals, operational permits, dealership licences, and environmental levies for the property were duly obtained from the Lagos State Government,” he added.

Skyewise Group indicated that copies of all relevant permits and licences would be released shortly. The company expressed gratitude to stakeholders for their support during this period and stated that plans are underway to establish a new facility.
