Rivers state resident, Mrs. Celine Nwachukwu, said, yesterday, she had to leave a hospital in Eleme Council to vote in Elelenwo, lamenting she has been disturbed by stories about manipulation of results.

According to her, preparation towards voting started with a struggle to get her PVC updated, despite being down with stroke

She said: “I have been a stroke patient for over a decade, with threatening sugar level and worsening blood pressure (BP). I was moody seeing myself pinned down in hospital on Saturday and I begged the nurses and my husband, Ignatius Chukwu, to allow me to go and vote, even if it would be the last thing I would do for Nigeria.

“My request was obliged and I voted at Elelenwo Ward 3B Unit 9. I was happy as I returned to the hospital. But I’m displeased now with the stories I hear about result manipulation. I am at the Emergency Ward of Famo Clinic in Eleme, where doctors are battling to save my life.

“All I crave for is that our struggles on Saturday should not be in vain, INEC should not declare manipulated results in Rivers State, original results as seen at various polling units should be declared.”
