Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) has unveiled plans to host the third edition of its annual Colour Festival from Tuesday, May 6 to Thursday, May 8, 2025.
The 3-day event themed “Colour Explosion,” is aimed at celebrating youth expression, creativity, and cultural diversity on campus.
Organized by TASUEDFinest Media NG, the festival will feature a range of activities including cultural displays, artistic showcases, and entertainment. It is expected to attract students, creatives, and cultural enthusiasts from across Ogun State and beyond.
The organizers said the event would kick off on Tuesday with the Colour Festival to feature color splashes, powder parties, dance circles, DJ sets, and live hype sessions. On Wednesday, students will participate in a Cultural Festival showcasing Nigeria’s ethnic diversity through traditional attire and indigenous performances. The festival concludes on Thursday with a Costume Festival, where participants will wear creative outfits inspired by mythology, pop culture, and contemporary themes.
The statement added that a Mega Trade Fair would run alongside the festivities, providing a platform for student entrepreneurs, local businesses, and major brands to engage with the university community, adding that vendors from industries such as fashion, beauty, tech, and food are expected to participate.
Creative Director of TASUEDFinest, Toyosola Amuludun, described the festival as a platform for students to explore their identities and celebrate their roots. “The TASUED Colour Festival 3.0 is more than just an event — it’s a platform for young people to explore their identities, celebrate their roots, and showcase their talents,” he said.
Amuludun also revealed that the event will include guest appearances, pop-up exhibitions, branded installations, media interviews, and the TASUEDFinest Awards, which recognize student influencers, leaders, and creatives.
He noted the growth of the festival over the years and acknowledged the support of brands such as Infinix Nigeria, Munch It, Monster Energy, TicketPass NG, dsand others in making the event a success.
