Tinubu, Senegal’s Faye meet in Aso Villa

A meeting between President Bola Tinubu and the new President of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, is currently underway at the State House, Abuja.

The meeting between the two leaders, it was gathered, is a courtesy call on President Tinubu by the newest member of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Authority of Heads of State and Government.

President Faye, who was sworn in on April 2, 2024, arrived at the forecourt of the State House at around 3:00 pm and was ushered in by Pipers drawn from the Guards Brigade (military) band.


The Senegalese President was immediately taken to his host’s office in the Presidential Villa for a closed-door session.
