Visa issues prevent Cubana Chief Priest from attending Davido’s Miami wedding

Businessman and social media personality Pascal Okechukwu, known as Cubana Chief Priest, has appealed to the United States Mission in Nigeria after being unable to attend singer David “Davido” Adeleke’s wedding to Chioma Rowland in Miami due to a visa denial.

Okechukwu, a close associate of the couple, disclosed his absence on Saturday through a post on Instagram, sharing a throwback video from their 2024 traditional wedding in Lagos. He attributed his inability to travel to “long-standing US visa issues” and expressed mixed emotions about missing the event.

“I woke up this morning with mixed feelings. I’m happy, but I’m still sad. Sometimes God makes you understand that you are powerless, regardless of all you may think you have,” he wrote. “US Mission Nigeria, do it for me this time… you need to give me access to get my fat ass into America.”

Despite his absence, Okechukwu said he was “there in body and spirit,” noting that his wife attended the ceremony on his behalf. He added that he would submit a fresh visa application next week.

The businessman maintained that “a delay was never a denial” and urged the US Mission to consider his request.

While Okechukwu remained in Nigeria, several entertainers, including Adekunle Gold, Teniola Apata, Zlatan Ibile, and Tunde Ednut, were present at the pre-wedding Havana Night party in Miami. Videos and photos from the celebration have continued to circulate on social media.

Davido previously revealed during the pre-wedding event that the white wedding cost $3.7 million.
