Voters kill councilor in Bauchi

The Caretaker Committee Chairperson  Bogoro Local Government Council of Bauchi state Mrs. Hassana Arkila has disclosed that serving councilor for Gizaki/Badagari ward Mr Musa Daniel have being beaten to death by angry youths while on lawful duty

Arkila said voters apathy has also marred the entire electoral process due to lo turn-out in the area.

She described the attacked on the councilor as   unfortunate saying the attackers are enemies of democracy.

” I have just been  inform that one of my councilor has ben beaten to death by irate youths, I am assuring you that the full wrath of law will catch up with the attackers”. She said.

The council boss urged the electorates to sheath their sword and embrace peace saying violence is not a solution to political difference

However, Bauchi state witnessed a low turn-out in in most the except in Bogoro, Tafawa-balewa and Dass LGAS.

Our correspondent  gathered that traders and shops owners were seen doing their normal business in the state capital and most of LGA headquarters visited during the election process.

A trader told the Guardian that the were only  interested on the presidential election and. support for Buhari adding that PDP has failed us as a nation.
