IN a bid to help women reach their potentials and help develop the society, Reverend Funke Felix- Adejumo Foundation (FFAF) recently held a women developmental summit tagged Women on the Winning Edge in Lagos.
Staged at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), the initiative, which was conceived as a yearly event, brought together women from different walks of life.
Led by Rev. Funke Felix-Adejumo, the three-day event also featured 16 exceptional speakers, who spoke on a wide range of topics that concern the female folks.
In her opening remarks, the convener, Rev. Felix-Adejumo said, “the project is a non-denominational gathering focused on women, who come together to share real life issues and speak on development of our general wellbeing. The role of a woman as a nation builder cannot be over emphasised. Therefore, ensuring that a woman is balanced in spirit, soul and body helps set the tone for a better Nigeria.”
Targeted at every woman, some of the dignitaries present at the event include Pastor Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God; the wives of Lagos and Kwara Sate Governors, Mrs. Omolewa Ahmed and Mrs. Abimbola Fashola; Mrs. Elizabeth Ayodele, wife of the Nigerian Ambassador to Greece; Bishop Felix Remi Adejumo, Senior Pastor and Agape Christian Ministries among others.
