The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) said it has put measures in place to deliver timely and good electricity supply during the yelutide period and beyond in the South-East.

The Head of Corporate Communications of the company, Mr Emeka Ezeh, in a statement on Wednesday in Enugu, facilitated with Christians in the South-East as they celebrate Christmas.

Ezeh advised residents of the South-East to avoid unsafe acts that could result in electrical accidents or fire outbreaks, mostly attributed to fireworks and indiscriminate bush burning.

“We are concerned about the well-being of our customers and feel that at this festive period, there is a need to exercise caution, especially considering that we are now in the dry season,” he said.
“Consequently, in case of service failure or fault, customers should report through our 24/7 Call Centre by dialing: 02084700100.

“EEDC remains committed to ensuring a better and more enjoyable customer experience in the coming year,” he said.

The EEDC spokesman thanked customers of EEDC for their support and understanding throughout the year.

“There is no way we would have made it without the support of our customers, and we do not take it for granted,” he added.
