Zamfara PDP commends Gov Lawal for reinstating 103 sacked teachers

The Zamfara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commended Governor Dauda Lawal for approving the reinstatement of 103 teachers who were earlier dismissed from service due to administrative errors discovered during the state’s civil service verification exercise.

The party views the development as a demonstration of the governor’s resolve to restore integrity, discipline, and punctuality in the state’s workforce, saying that his administration’s ongoing reforms aim at improving standards and motivations among teachers.

The statement, issued by the publicity scribe, Hon. Haliru Andi, said that the reinstated teachers have been urged to rededicate themselves to their duties.

Recall that the decision was announced by the Hon. Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mallam Wadatau Madawaki, who said it reflects the governor’s deep compassion, fairness, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of civil servants and the revitalisation of the education sector in the State.

Governor Lawal’s directive was not only to reinstate the affected teachers, but also to ensure the payment of their outstanding salary arrears from January to July 2025, a gesture that underscores his people-oriented leadership and genuine concern for justice and accountability in governance”, the commissioner added.
