The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has disclosed that it projects to get N857 million from sponsors in the 2015 season, just as it has a budget of N524 million for Super Falcons’ participation at the FIFA Women World Cup, billed for Canada later this year.
 
According the 2015 budget proposal document submitted by the federation to the National Assembly for approval, which was obtained by The Guardian, the NFF notes that while it would get the sum of N350 million from Globacom, it would also pocket N290 million and N70 million from Guinness Nigeria Limited and Malta Guinness respectively, with Peak Milk supplying N51 million.
 
Also expected into the federation’s account for the 2015 season are N40 million from Tom Tom, N35 million from Emzor, as well as N10 million from Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) company, just as sports radio station, BrilaFM, will pay N1 million.
 
For the execution of the Women World Cup in Canada, the NFF notes that it would spend N6.3 million on return tickets for eight government officials, a number of ministers, permanent secretaries, and members of the National Assembly with $68,000 paid as their allowances for 20 nights.

The document reveals that the federation would pay a daily allowance of $40,000 to the 20 players, who would make up the Super Falcons, while their officials and technical crew would receive $31,000.
 
It added that while the players would receive $230,000 as match bonus, the coaches and nine other technical officers attached to the team would get $174,000.
 
The document also shows that the sum of $98,000 would be the estacode for the NFF president, the general secretary, two board members and four accompanying secretariat staff, who are expected to stay for 20 days each.

The federation also noted that it would spend N46 million for medical consumables, local return ticket for players, production of pennants and pins, local camping, printing of tournament brochure, insurance, contingencies and administrative logistics, as well as transitional accommodation.

Meanwhile, the federation has re-confirmed the Super Eagles’ friendly game against Bolivia in Uyo on March 26.

Speaking in Abuja, NFF General Secretary, Musa Amadu, dismissed a report that suggested the match had been called off.

“Nothing could be farther from the truth. As I speak with you, the Bolivia Football Federation has purchased return flight tickets for their players and officials and other delegation members to the match.

“Everything has been finalized and the delegation of Bolivia will arrive in Lagos on March 24, and then fly to Uyo for the match. Certainly, this kind of report does not augur well for well-laid programmes.”

The Super Eagles will take on Bolivia at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium on March 26 and then play South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in Nelspruit on Sunday, March 29.
