NGO commends outgoing board chairman 

Gbenga Oyebode

Teach For Nigeria (TFN), a non-profit organisation (NGO) committed to promoting educational equity and excellence in Nigeria, has celebrated Gbenga Oyebode, for his six years of dedicated and transformative leadership as the TFN pioneer board chairman.
 
In a farewell dinner, the organisation described as invaluable, his unwavering commitment to steering the organisation towards its vision of expanding educational opportunities for all children in Nigeria. 
 
It said the body, during the period, experienced unprecedented growth and impact; expanded its reach across four states and developed an alumni network of 835 visionary leaders changing Nigeria’s education landscape. 
 
It said his tenure was marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence, fostering partnerships with government and private entities and spearheading innovative initiatives that positively impacted the lives of numerous students and communities. 
 
Chief Executive Officer of TFN, Folawe Omikunle, said: “Oyebode’s passion for educational equity has inspired us all and has left an indelible mark on our journey towards unlocking the potential of all children in Nigeria.”
 
Kunle Elebute, the current board chair, extolled Oyebode’s leadership qualities and outstanding contribution to the growth of the organisation. Elebute announced the Gbenga Oyebode’s Outstanding Leadership Award as a legacy project in honour of the former board chairman.   Oyebode described TFN as an essential vehicle for change in Nigeria’s education.
