The Niger State Government said it has concluded the payment of compensation to all affected persons in the construction of the Bida-Minna and Bida Ring Road projects.
This was confirmed in a statement signed by Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago’s spokesperson, Bologi Ibrahim who said the action was taken to speed up the construction of the roads.
“The payment was part of Farmer Governor Umaru Bago’s commitment to the actualization of the Construction of the Road Projects in line with his Urban Renewal initiative,” Ibrahim said.
“The Farmer Gov desired that all those affected by gigantic projects get whatever is due to them hence the compensation was carried out comprehensively.”
Ibrahim added that with the completion of the payment of compensation, the execution of the road projects will now witness significant progress.
The spokesperson said the Bago-led administration is determined to implement the Urban Renewal Initiative in all the major cities across Niger State.
