Nigerian Idol S9: Meet The 10 Alpha ‘Vocalist Dreamers’ As Live Show Begins


The Nigerian Idol Season 9 stage has no doubt been a burst of emotions. From a sea of hopefuls, each with a voice and a dream, the judges sifted through the pack, searching for that perfect blend of raw talent and great stage presence.

After surviving the heart-pounding auditions (Wooden Mic) and gruelling challenges of Theatre Week, which consisted of duet battles and solo performances, these contestants – Chioma, Mira Clear, David Garland, Lady Ruth, Stevie, Maio, Gracia, Jennifer Igomu, Chima and Lammy have through their talent, perseverance and sheer determination, earned their respective places in the Top 10 class (contestants) for the season 9, and thus, perform during weekly Live Show, which commenced on Sunday night, May 26.

As the battle gets more fierce and the ‘dreamers’ (contestants) are expected to embark on a grueling new phase, one filled with carefully chosen songs, live performances, and the challenge of stepping outside the comfort zones of their vocals. Nerves will be tested, and weaknesses exposed as they try to out-sing and out-shine one another, as well as gain the confidence and votes of the audience (Nigerians) who have the final say in who becomes the winner of Nigerian Idol Season 9.
