Identity commission denies licensing XpressVerify
The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) are strategically collaborating to enhance processes relating to National Identification Number (NIN)-SIM linkage.
Recently, the exercise has become the subject of national discourse, reflecting the critical importance of aligning SIM registrations with individuals’ unique national identification numbers.
Recognising the significance of this initiative in enhancing security and improving service delivery, both NIMC and NCC said they are committed to improving processes and boosting efficiency.
Under the collaboration, both agencies would explore synergies and leverage each other’s expertise and resources.The areas of focus include: streamlining the NIN-SIM linkage process. Here, NIMC and NCC would collaborate to ensure a seamless experience for Nigerian telecommunication subscribers.
