NPFL broadcaster increases live games to four

Remo Stars celebrated the 2023/24 NPFL season’s first away win.

.Aina applauds league

Ola Aina’s dad, Olufemi Aina, has commended the standard of the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL), saying the players in the league are as good as their mates in other parts of the continent.

Aina, who was at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, to watch a Week 23 game between Remo Stars and Bayelsa United, also expressed his surprise at the quality of the facility at the home team’s arena, saying such facilities would aid the growth of the game in the country.

Remo Stars defeated Bayelsa United by a late goal scored by Olamilekun Adams, to climb to the top of the NPFL log, albeit temporarily on Saturday.

Aina, who incidentally is from Ikenne, described the facility as comparable to what his son trained in at Chelsea, adding, “I am used to sports facilities having been the one taking Ola to different academies when he was a teenager. This place reminds me of Chelsea facilities.”

Meanwhile, StarTimes has increased its weekly live broadcast of NPFL matches to four, instead of the usual two live matches per week.

So, fans can brace themselves for an electrifying weekend as the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) serves scintillating fixtures on Beta Sports, channel 244 on StarTimes.
