Mr Usman Alfadarai, Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Lagos state, on Thursday witnessed the issuance of Certificate of Return ( CoR) to Gov Babajide Sanwo – Olu and his deputy Obafemi Hazmat.
Alfadarai said his presence showed the commitment of NSCDC to ensure peaceful co existence in Lagos State .
According to a statement signed by the command spokesperson, Mr Seun Abolurin in Lagos, the event took place at the office INEC in Yaba, Lagos.
The statement reported Alfadarai as saying that the presence of NSCDC also indicated the corps’ willingness to work with the state government relentlessly.
The statement further said the command would always execute its mandate to protect critical national assets and infrastructure.
” These assets include oil and gas pipelines, telecommunications, railway and power installations, buildings and offices, Federal, State and Local Government sites, among others,” it said .
The statement urged the residents to support the governor in the new tenure to make Lagos State the best among its counterparts.
