NUC approves three new courses for Christopher varsity

After a successful Resource Verification Assessment Visit to Christopher University, Mowe, Ogun State, the National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved three new academic programmes for the institution.

The proposed academic programme, which have now been given the nod to commence full-time mode in the institution effective 2020/2021academic session are Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science, Information Science and Media Studies, as well as Sociology. 

The commission’s approval was communicated to the vice chancellor of the institution, Prof. Friday Ndubuisi, in a February 10, 2020 letter, signed by the Director of Academic Planning, Dr. N. B.  Saliu, for the executive secretary.

A statement from the vice chancellor’s office said the news excited the university community immensely, just as arrangements have also been completed to admit students and commence the programmes this academic session.

The statement added that a lot of prospective students have already shown interest to enroll in the programmes, even as it “commend most sincerely, the executive secretary NUC, and his team for quick action on the resource verification assessment, and pledged to abide by both the spirit, and the letter of the approval” given to her to run this programmes.
