The governor said that it is only when universities embark on more relevant research that they would be able to solve the peculiar challenges facing the nation, especially in their host states.

He said: “As a university, you are doing very well, but I must encourage the university to continue to do more relevant research.”

Meanwhile, the governor has hailed the Chairman, Editorial Board of The Nation Newspapers, Sam Omatseye, on the launch of his new book, ‘Beating All Odds: How Bola Tinubu became President.’

Oborevwori said that Omatseye is, without doubt, Nigeria’s most engaging and consistent chronicler of Nigeria’s national experiences, capturing with every offering, the essence and impact of the country’s individual vicissitudes and existential ethos.

He said: “We encourage other journalists and writers to take up the challenge of writing similar books as their contributions to the library of thought and information on our growing democracy.”
