Ododo equips 1,050 hunters to improve security in Kogi

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, yesterday, distributed security gadgets to 1,050 hunters to combat crimes and criminality in Kogi State.
Speaking at the event, the governor expressed his administration’s commitment to dealing decisively with anyone, who intends to disrupt the peace in the state.
 
He asserted that Kogi will never be a breeding ground for criminals, stressing that all hands must be on deck to wipe enemies off the state. Ododo charged the hunters to remain professional by assisting other security agencies to rid the state of crimes.
 
“My administration has adopted kinetic and non-kinetic approaches to ensure security of our people. Kogites, we must protect ourselves. If we don’t do it, nobody will do it for us. Kogi State is not a free trade zone for criminals. 
 
“When you see them, deal with them decisively. Criminals must be wiped out of our land. When you are coming with criminal mind, we are ever ready to take you out.  Once again, when you see criminals, deal with them,” he said.
 
Earlier in his address, the Commissioner of Police, Bertrand Onuoha, said the items were to assist conventional security agency in the state to combat insecurity. He lauded the governor for his foresight in securing life and property.
