Nigeria’s rappers, Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck and Crown Uzama known professionally as Shallipopi are set to embark on a joint Afrobeats tour of nine cities in the United States.
The tour, which will kick off on April 27 at Uptown Theater in Minneapolis, will go through Houston, Dallas, New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles and more before wrapping up in Dallas at House of Blues on May 27.
Put together by Live Nation in partnership with the labels of both artistes, the tour marks an unprecedented feat in Nigerian music.
While Shallipopi rose to mainstream fame in 2023 following the release of his single, Elon Musk, which peaked at number one on the Nigeria Top 100 Apple Music, Odumodublvck is known for his stage performances, genre-blend and his often portrayal of Okpu Agu. Odumodublvck is a member of the hip-hop collective Anti World Gangstars. The duo recently released a song cast.
