The walk will commence at 7:00 a.m. from the Quest Petrol Station in Lekki, Lagos.

The event tagged: The Gran-D Walk for the elderly is being organised by the founder, Dr. Olutoyin Ajala, to support the elderly in society, whose plight is yet to be met and attended to by the government and society.

A statement issued, yesterday, by the spokesperson of the group and former General Manager of Zenith Bank Plc, Olubukola Latunji, revealed that the aim of the walk is to create awareness for the ‘Adopt a Gran-D Programme’ and raise funds to expand the walk to more states of the country with a target of over 2,000 elderly persons.

“The fund is for preventative hygiene and medical supplies, clean water and distribution of about one million meals in 2022.

“The foundation has already distributed over 20,000 meals this year and seeks more support to reach more people due to the high number that still require care and support,” the statement reads.
