Ogun State-owned security outfit, So-Safe Corps has arrested a 21-year-old commercial tricyclist, Ridwan Lukman, for sexually abusing a 14-year-old groundnut hawker in the Ota area of the state.
The suspect was allegedly forcing himself on the survivor when the security operatives intervened.
Upon arrest, Lukman denied the act, claiming he misunderstood the girl’s actions as sexual advances.
The survivor, however, underwent a medical examination which confirmed penetration.
Consequently, Lukman confessed to the offence and was taken into custody.
The suspect was promptly transferred to the Sango Area Command of the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and legal proceedings.
