A United Kingdom-based Data Scientist and Graduate Statistician, Chief Adewale Omoniyi, has canvassed for support from all Yewa in the Diaspora for public officials from the zone, especially the lawmaker representing Ogun West, Senator Solomon Adeola.
Omoniyi, who is a PhD Scholar in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom, urged all Yewa people residing in foreign lands to utilize their experiences and exposure gained abroad to support the development and growth of Yewa land.
Speaking during an interview on Cosoro Radio in Manchester, United Kingdom, Omoniyi emphasized the importance of all Yewa individuals in the diaspora supporting Senator Yayi and other elected officials representing Yewa land.
He stressed that everyone has a role in their homeland’s development, which would only be possible if everyone worked together.
Omoniyi commended Senator Olamilekan Adeola’s fantastic work and encouraged him to unite everyone to resolve internal crises.
He also praised Senator Yayi for his contributions towards the development of Yewa even before his election.
According to Omoniyi, Yewa land needs to tap into the vastness, dynamism, and influence of its citizens abroad, who are actively involved in developing the economies and well-being of Western countries.
He stated that with the support of all well-meaning Yewa sons and daughters, the road to Oke-Mosan in 2027 should be smooth. Omoniyi, who was a Governorship candidate during the 2019 election, acknowledged the efforts of groups such as De-Westerner and many other groups in which he was involved in working tirelessly day and night to ensure a Yewa person gets to the position of Governor.
Omoniyi also extended his felicitations to another Yewa offspring recently designated as the Acting Inspector General of Police in Nigeria.
IGP Egbetokun, a previous RRS Commander in Lagos State, originated from Erinja in Yewa South Local Government and was recently decorated by President Bola Tinubu as the nation’s police chief.
