Okpe Union in UK extols Okowa, assures Oborevwori won’t disappoint Deltans

Oborevwori
Barely 33 days to swearing in of Sheriff Obevwori as Governor of Delta State, the Okpe Union, United Kingdom (UK), has extolled the outgoing governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, for supporting their kinsman to succeed him.

The union assured that, as the Ukodo of Okpe Kingdom, Oborevwori, who is the current Speaker of the state Assembly, would sustain the tempo of impactful leadership and people-oriented project delivery in the state.

In a letter of appreciation to Okowa, the Okpe Union in UK commended the outgoing governor for throwing his weight behind the Speaker before, during and after the governorship election.

The letter stated: “We are, indeed, grateful and appreciative. God made it possible, through you, for our son to emerge governor-elect.”

While endorsing the transition of Okowa’s SMART to Oborevwori’s MORE agenda, the Okpe Union said the Okpe Kingdom will join hands with the governor-elect to reciprocate “the support you gave to Okpe’s quest for the governorship position of our dear state.”

“For us in Okpe Kingdom, with the emergence of our son and brother, Oborevwori, as the governor-elect in the March 18 governorship election, all we can see and talk about is God’s glory, and we give Him and your esteemed self all the glory.  It is heartwarming to note the faith, confidence and hope you reposed in our kinsman as your worthy successor.

“Okpe Union in UK wishes to state that our kinsman will not let you and Deltans down. He will reciprocate this gesture by making huge sacrifices and work harder to consolidate on the gains already recorded under the SMART agenda of your administration by faithfully implementing his MORE agenda.”
