The AAA is a yearly event that recognizes and celebrates exceptional individuals and organisations across the African continent. It aims at honouring those who have made remarkable contributions in various fields, including business, leadership, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, sports, entertainment and advocacy.

The theme of this year’s event was ‘Unlocking Sustainable Trade and Investment Opportunities in Africa: the Public, Private Partnership (PPP) Approach,’ which focused on the need to address challenges Africans are faced with in achieving a prosperous, equitable and sustainable future on the continent.

The 13th African Achievers’ Awards fulfilled its promise of brilliant interactions from interesting relations between honourees and guests. From networking to the international summit, and then the awards, this year’s AAA hit its target.

Among high profile guests at the event was the Olu of Warri, whose attendance was complemented with his Queen Consort of Warri Kingdom, Olori Atuwatse III.

As with every edition of the awards and summit, the AAA served as a platform for industry leaders and notable personalities in Africa and of African origin to converge and talk about strategies towards development sustainability in the African continent.

Some of the award recipients at the event were the Chief Executive Officer of Transcorp Group, Owen Omogiafo; Managing Director of the Senegalese Reforestation Agency and the Great Green Wall (ASERGMV), Oumar Abdoulaye Ba; CEO, Tritek Consulting Limited, UK, Dr. Adeshola Cole; Boards and Councils of Grant Thornton TechUK, Teach First and The Arboretum London, Tunji Akintokun, among many others.
