Ondo 2024: Parley aggrieved aspirants, APC Chieftain tasks Aiyedatiwa

Ondo State governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa

Ondo State governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming November governorship election, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has been advised to extend a hand of fellowship to other aspirants who contested the ticket with him.

This is with a view to reuniting all party faithful and forging a common front that will resonate with the electorate and secure victory in the all-important election.

This call was made by a chieftain of the party, Otunba Mustapha Lusty while congratulating the governor on his deserved emergence as APC’s standard bearer for the November 16, 2024, election.

“Your victory in the closely contested primaries reflects the belief of our party members in your unwavering dedication and commitment to our party’s core values.

“However, as we embark on this crucial journey, I urge you to leave behind the intrigues of the primaries and extend a hand of fellowship to all those who contested with you for the ticket, as well as to all stakeholders of our party in the state.”

“Together, we must forge a strong, united front that resonates with the electorate and secures victory in the governorship election,” Lusty said in a statement.

The party chieftain expressed confidence in Aiyedatiwa’s leadership abilities, adding that with the support of all APC members in the state, Ondo State could be restored to the path of progressive governance, sustainable socio-economic growth and political inclusion in all ramifications.

Recall that Otunba Lusty had declared support for Aiyedatiwa ahead of last Saturday’s primary election “after wide and meticulous consultations across the state,” describing his choice as the collective voice of the Ondo people.
