A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State, Olusola Oke, has stated that he will revamp rural communities through extensive road construction and infrastructural development.

Oke, who disclosed this during the tour of the local council areas of the state, vowed to prioritise critical sectors such as education, healthcare, energy, and security.

The governorship aspirant stressed that under his administration, farmers in the state will be employers of labour with a promise to support them through loans and modern farm equipment that will aid their output.

Oke, who promised to use his wealth of experience to better the masses in the state, assured the people of the state that if given the opportunity to fly the flag of the party, he would turn around the state economy.

He said: “I have come to serve you, and I will never disappoint you. Give me your support. God who spared my life to be alive today has a reason, and the reason is to serve you.”

Oke, who visited Akoko North-West Local Government Area, where he met with local government, ward, and unit leaders of the party, said his programmes for the state include support for women, farmers, widows, and youth development.

Oke promised to run an open-door government if elected and ensure that the dividends of democracy get handed over to the people of the state.

According to him, market women will be assisted and supported to alleviate their sufferings, just as he said farmers will be encouraged to put food on the tables of the citizens.

“I am making it known to you emphatically today that if you vote me as the candidate of the party and I am ultimately elected the governor of Ondo State, I will surely bring good governance to you,” Oke said.

The APC chairman in the local government area, Mr. Kehinde Obanla, said Oke has paid his dues, saying now is the time to join hands with him to give him the chance to turn around the fortunes of the state.

He appealed to members of the party in the area to vote for the Ilaje-born politician to secure the ticket of the party and clinch the party’s ticket.

“Our conclusion has been that the name of the aspirant is sellable. Chief Olusola Oke has been the best among the aspirants because he has been helping the party members far before now. So, time has come to support him too.”

The local government women leader, Princess Opeyemi Funmilayo, said the personality and leadership qualities of Oke are unique and unquantifiable in all ramifications.

She said, “I bet it with you, Olusola Oke can’t be compared with other contestants in all standards, considering his intellectual capability.”
