Ooni set to unveil first Nigerian business social media, 2geda

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, is set to launch the first business social media in Nigeria, tagged ‘2geda’.

Co-owner of the project, Emeka Eze, who disclosed this, yesterday, during a media briefing, said the official launching of the platform, scheduled for Wednesday, August 9, 2023 in Ile-Ife, the Osun State capital, is pivotal to redefining and globally bringing Nigeria to the forefront of technology.

Eze said:  “We are very happy to do this project with our revered monarch, to partner with our imperial majesty, Oba Ogunwusi, on this 2geda. It is not just a social media but also a business-listing platform, which allows users to enlist their businesses. It is the first indigenous digital platform, which combines social with business networking and promotions.

“Unlike other social media platforms, which only focus on social interactions and networking, 2geda provides established and upcoming business organisations the platform to interact with existing and potential clients, and network for possible opportunities.”

He said both local and global users would find the platform more fulfilling and beneficial for their social and business networking quests.

He said the safety of the personal data and information of users is guaranteed.

Eze said: “The security layers on 2geda are carefully and professionally developed to protect the personal information and data of users, and suffice it to say that we have one of the strongest database security globally.”

He said that the business social media platform, which combines social and business networking, is poised to globally position Nigerian businesses for better visibility and profitability, leveraging on technology.
