The Oyo State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board (Muslim Wing), yesterday, said it would close collection of 2023 initial hajj fare

Chairman of the Board, Prof. Sayed Malik, who disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan, the state capital, said the Board had fixed N2.6 million as initial deposit of the 2023 hajj fare for each of the intending pilgrim in the state.

Malik, therefore, urged all intending pilgrims wishing to travel with the board to make sure they pay the amount into any of the designated bank accounts of the board on or before Monday, March 20, 2023, not to miss the opportunity.

“Those who had earlier deposited less than N2.6 million are to quickly top it up with the remaining balance before the deadline. Allocation of PINS to intending pilgrims who have completed payment will start on the same day,” he said.

He said that the board had started putting in place necessary arrangements to ensure that the 2023 hajj is a hitch-free and successful exercise.
