PDP appoints Katsina Caretaker Committee for three months

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the appointment of the Katsina State Caretaker Committee for a period of three months.


The PDP on Friday disclosed this through a press statement on its official Twitter handle signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba.

According to the statement, the newly-appointed Caretaker Committee in Katsina will pilot the affairs of the State Chapter of the party.

“The decision of the National Working Committee (NWC) is in exercise of its powers under the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017),” the statement read in part.

The Katsina Caretaker Committee is to manage the affairs of the Party in Katsina State for a period not exceeding 90 days, effective from June 23rd, 2023.

“The PDP urges all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of our Party in Katsina State to remain united and focused as we work collectively to strengthen the Party in the State.”
