The Anambra State Police Command has rescued an abducted victim and recovered his sky blue Toyota Camry in Aguata Local Council.

Operatives were said to have responded swiftly when they got a report of the abduction at about 4:30 p.m., on Wednesday.

“During the hot chase by the police team, the criminals shoved the victim out of the vehicle at Ndike village in Orumba North Local Council and drove off.

“The officers continued on the trail on the abductors. The criminals abandoned the vehicle along Umunze road, Orumba South Local Council, and ran into a nearby bush. Operations are still ongoing for a possible arrest of the hoodlums,” the police said.

The command said the victim had been debriefed and reunited with his family.

It hailed the performance of the operatives and assured residents that the command, in liaison with other security agencies, would deny criminals the opportunity to foment trouble and re-group anywhere in the state.
