The governor warned those allegedly disrespecting him especially, council chairmen and political appointees loyal to the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike to note that they are already digging their political graves.

Fubara spoke on Thursday in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local council of the State while commissioning a Comprehensive Primary Healthcare Centre, in Ndoni donated by the PAMO Educational Foundation founded by former Dr. Peter Odili and his wife, rtd Justice Mary.

Fubara said, “Let me say it here that anyone of you who think you are disrespecting me, you have already dug your pit, you will fall inside it. Our minds are open and we do not wish anybody bad but we expect you to do what is right.

“For those of you that has decided to take that part you think leads to your destination, safe journey.Siminalayi Fubara and his team will continue to take that course that God has given us, we’ll flow in a direction that your resistance won’t matter to us. “They said, we are clueless, if providing quality education, healthcare, targeting critical projects is being clueless, we agree with them but we’ll not do roads to please somebody. We’ll do those things that everyone would benefit from. Well ensure that those critical issues that will be fit our people in this critical time, we’ll do them.

The governor promised to maintain dignity and respect to Rivers people but vowed that he will not be intimidated.

“We’ll continue to do those things that are right to make you proud. We are not going back on it and what they thought was for evil, God has turned it to good,” Fubara said.

Fubara commended the founder of PAMO Educational Foundation, Dr Peter Odili for giving back to the community through the project and urged the community to take ownership of the facility.

The governor said building projects that impacts lives is the most dedicated thing anyone who claims that he loves his community, the state and God can do.

He charged the people not to handle the facility as “government thing” but take ownership of it.

“We as government, we will ensure that we provide the needed manpower to make it function,” he stated.

Earlier, the donor of the health facility Dr Peter Odili congratulated the governor for winning the hearts of Rivers people by his strides.

He urged the governor to stand firm as the people are behind him.

“Politics is over and it’s now time for governance and you have hit the ground running, you have touched the critical sectors such as education, health and others in less than one year in office,” Odili said.

He advised Fubara to align with President Bola Tinubu’s policies to enable him attract more developments to Rivers State.
