Prophet Joshua Iginla, founder and general overseer of Champions Royal Assembly, has urged the Nigerian government to focus on job creation as a means of sustaining the nation’s economy.
This call was made during the joint birthday celebration of Iginla and his wife, Stella Iginla, at the City of Wonders Cathedral in Kubwa, Abuja.
Iginla emphasised the urgent need for the government to invest in job creation to productively engage the youth, giving them opportunities to realise their potential and secure their future. He warned that without such investments, the country risks losing a generation to criminal activities, addiction, and societal decay.
“If you look around the nation, you will see the youths getting involved in criminality, addiction, and errors that result in decadence. If this continues, the future generation of this nation will be lost. We cannot keep ignoring the youths,” Iginla stated.
Addressing those in positions of power, Iginla stressed the importance of using their authority to benefit the people rather than for personal gain.
“As a person occupying the seat of power in this nation at any level, be aware that the beauty of life is not in what you acquire, it is in what you do with what you acquire. If you take a governmental position to cause the people pain and make gain for yourself, you are sowing a seed that your generation will reap,” he said.
Iginla concluded his message with a prophetic prayer, asking for divine wisdom for the nation’s leaders to guide Nigeria to greater heights.
The event was attended by dignitaries from around the globe, including representatives of the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ayuba Wabba, and the Chief of Defence Staff of Nigeria, General Christopher Gwabin Musa. The attendees praised Iginla and his wife for their significant contributions to spreading the Gospel and impacting lives globally.
In his speech, General Musa commended Iginla for constructing the magnificent City of Wonders Cathedral and recognised the role of Christian prayers in maintaining Nigeria’s stability.
“Nigeria is still standing because of the prayers of Christians all over the world,” Musa remarked, encouraging the faithful to remain steadfast.
NLC President Ayuba Wabba also lauded Iginla for his impactful work and urged him to continue praying for the country.
To mark their birthdays, the Joshua Iginla Foundation distributed over 25,000 bags of rice and shared over N30 million with widows and the elderly in their ministry. These acts of kindness brought tears of joy and gratitude from the recipients, highlighting the profound impact of the Iginlas’ humanitarian efforts.
