PSB to empower SMEs, unveils 40m grant

MoMo, a Payment Service Bank (PSB) in partnership with the Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME), has concluded plans to empower micro and small businesses in Lagos.

Chief Commercial Officer, MoMo, Elsa Muzzolini, at a two-day symposium, said the programme was aimed at compensating diligent merchants with active transactions on their MTN MoMo wallet.

With a N40 million grant initiative, Muzzolini expressed optimism that the grant would encourage increased engagement and participation among SMEs while enhancing the symbiotic relationship between the bank and its users.

On his part, NASME President, Abdulrasheed Yerima, said the collaborative effort between MTN MoMo and NASME, symbolises a commitment to fostering growth, innovation and connectivity within small and medium enterprises.

Represented by its Vice President, South-West, Solomon Aderoju, noted that the mutually beneficial nature of the exhibition aligns with the ‘One Billion Naira Youth and Women Empowerment Fund’ in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals for 2023.
