Pyne 2024: Celebrating excellence in tourism, hospitality across Africa

Targeted towards telling the African story of excellence in tourism and hospitality sector, the 2024 edition of Pyne Africa Hospitality & Tourism Events and Awards has been scheduled to hold on September 4th and 5th, at the Eko Hotel & Suites.

To accommodate the varying metrics of excellence that abound within the African Tourism and Hospitality narrative, The Pyne awards is segmented into three categories: Brand Excellence Category, Industry Stars Category, and Excellence Awards Category.

With the thematic preoccupation on ‘Innovative Connections: African Tourism, Hospitality, and Creative Industries in the Digital Age’, the event will feature a series of panels and presentations.


According to the management of the hospitality firm, the guiding principle for the event since inception goes beyond the simple understanding of extraordinary achievement, but the complete immersion of one’s mindset behind the standard of performance that qualifies efforts to be valued as excellent. “Pyne believes in the power of storytelling as a means to drive the narrative of African excellence within the African Tourism and Hospitality sector.”

Immersed by this core motivation to spotlight these exceptional stories of excellence within Africa, the Pyne Events and Awards seek to establish this in the hearts of the audience through the Overall theme for the Pyne Africa Events and Awards 2024: ‘True to Africa’.

With only Nigeria as the participating country from 2018 till 2021, there was an uptake in international participation as six countries joined in celebrating the best in Tourism and Hospitality with Pyne in the 2021 Pyne Africa Awards. Currently, there are 21 African countries participating in the 2024 Pyne Africa Events and Awards.

The Pyne Awards has recently announced the opening of nominations for the 2024 Pyne Africa Events and Awards, with voters able to nominate their preferred brand or individual at https://nominations.thepyneawards.com from June 6, till July 6, 2024.
