RECTEM graduates 396 at combined convocation

The Redeemers College of Technology and Management ((RECTEM), Mowe, Ogun State, has graduated 396 students at its third combined convocation for the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic sessions.


At the ceremony, a student from the School of Management, Department of Business Administration, Esther Ocha, emerged the best graduating student for the 2021/2022 academic session with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.99, while Adesina Sunday of the School of Engineering Technology emerged the best student for the 2022/2023 session with a CGPA of 3.94.

The rector, Dr Stella Mofunanya, congratulated the graduands, describing them as champions and ambassadors. She charged them not to rest on their oars and always portray the good image of the institution.


Chairman, Governing Council of the college, Prof Johnson Odesola, said the graduating students have been prepared to contribute their quota to national development.

Delivering the convocation lecture, titled: ‘Nigeria: Challenges and opportunities for enhancing capacity, fostering innovation and promoting entrepreneurship,’ Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, said capacity building, innovation and entrepreneurship development serve as the foundations for advancement and exceptionalism in tertiary institutions. Chairman of the occasion, Simeon Olakunrin, urged the graduating students to keep the flag flying.
