Rema to perform at The BRIT Awards 2024

Nigerian superstar Rema is set to perform at The BRIT Awards 2024, the UK’s most prestigious music awards show.

He will join other confirmed performers such as Dua Lipa, Kylie Minogue, RAYE, and Jungle, who are also nominated for various awards.

Rema, whose real name is Divine Ikubor, is nominated for International Song of the Year for his single ‘Calm Down’, which has become a global hit with over a billion streams on Spotify.

He is the first African artist to achieve this feat, as well as the first to win the ‘Best Afrobeats’ award at the MTV VMAs and the longest-charting African artist in Billboard Top 100.

He also made history by being the first artist to hit No.1 in the MENA charts, earning him an entry in the Guinness Book Of World Records.

The 44th edition of the BRIT Awards will take place on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at The O2 Arena in London. The same arena that Rema sold out as a headliner in November 2023.

The O2 Arena in London has a capacity of 20,000 people. It’s primarily used for live music and is one of the largest indoor venues in the UK.

Rema is known for his genre-blending mix of Afrobeats, pop, R&B, and hip-hop, which has earned him fans across the world.

He started his musical journey in 2019, when he signed with Mavin Records and released his debut EP ‘Rema’. Since then, he has released three more EPs and several singles, showcasing his talent and unique sound that makes him stand out.
