The owner of the demolished Asher Kings and Queens Restaurant, allegedly accused of organising a sex party, has threatened to sue Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai over acts of victimisation.
The demolished property, owned by Mrs. Aishetu Mercy Yakubu, wife of the spokesman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kaduna State, located off Court Road, Sabon Tasha by Kachia Road in Kaduna, was pulled down by the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KASUPDA).
Eyewitness said KASUPDA officials stormed the area with two truckloads of policemen to execute the order.
Spokesman of Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Muhammad Jalige, did not respond, when contacted on telephone.
However, a tearful Mrs. Yakubu, who spoke at the scene, said the restaurant that had existed for more than seven years was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
She refuted the allegation, saying it was false.
KASUPDA officials stated in a social media report that the hotel was advertised on a social media platform to be planning to organise a sex party.
“Youths had advertised the event on social media platforms, revealing that the sex party was scheduled to hold on December 27, 2020 at an undisclosed location in the state capital.”
But Mrs. Yakubu, who spoke alongside her husband, said she was not around, when the demolition exercise occurred, and that it was done without prior notice from government.
Mrs. Yakubu said the family would take legal action against the Government, as none of their properties was removed from the restaurant.
Meanwhile, the Kaduna State Police Command had stated that it paraded some youths who were allegedly behind the aborted maiden edition of a sex party in the hotel.
Yakubu said she paid the police some money to track the social media poster, who was later arrested.
