“Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs the Kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they, which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5: 3-10). Hebrews 6:10 says “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which you have showed toward his name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
GOD is righteous and He will not forget our work. Abraham was rewarded for his good works. God spared him and his loved ones, when He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah by Fire. God is righteous, and He will surely recognise our work and give us great comfort.
God always does the right things; so do not doubt Him because He will definitely reward you. You may find living Christian life not too easy. The Devil is certainly going to discourage you with many difficulties. Satan will keep telling you your efforts and time are wasted, but remember, life is tougher for those who are not in Christ. In this life, sinners will be judged of their sins and also in the life to come. The pleasures of sin are only for a season and afterwards, destruction follows. The pleasures of life do not bring lasting happiness. Sinners have no God and real hope in this woeful world.
According to God’s Word, a labourer is worthy of his reward. All the labour done in obedience to God will be rewarded. God sees your faithfulness in evangelism, and He will surely reward you. God is ready to reward us in this life and in the life to come, only if we are obedient to His words. There is no greater reward than having a close communion with Christ. The pursuit of Christ should be our main focus and consolation.
