Rickie Fowler, from great promise to flop

Rickie Fowler

From great promise to flop. This is the parable of Rickie Fowler, an American golfer in a game and results crisis. Never so bad since 2010. With the cut out at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tournament on the PGA Tour, the 32-year-old from Anaheim (California) has dropped from 63rd to 66th place in the world rankings, reports tennisworldusa.org.

It hadn’t happened since April 2010, when Fowler sank to 68th place before jumping to 51st a week later. From that moment on he never went beyond 56° position.

The last success (of five in total on the top American circuit) dates back to February 2019 when the player who grew up in Murrieta (California) managed to win the Phoenix Open.

While the latest Top 10 dates back to January 2020 (The American Express). Fowler talent in crisis. The American, who signed his first feat on the PGA Tour in 2012 (Wells Fargo), turned pro in 2009 after also being number 1 in the world amateur ranking, seems to have lost his class.

WiIlie Mack III started playing golf because of Tiger Woods. “I just remember watching on TV and he was just different than everybody else. I just kind of like gravitated to watching him”

“I always dreamed to be on the PGA TOUR when I started golf. But probably when I was in college and I won my ninth tournament, I kind of was talking to my parents and I was telling them I wanted to try and maybe make a career out of it. It might not have worked out, but I wanted to at least give it a shot.

And then here we are today”, WiIlie Mack III said. In California Daniel Berger pitches a putt show for the agle at the 72° hole from over 9 meters (the last of the review) and takes the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Fourth career title on the PGA Tour (figure including two WGCs) in golf for the American player, who now sees the Top 10 in the world ranking. Nothing to do for Jordan Spieth, 3°. Tournament undertone for Francesco Molinari, only 59°.
