Veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) reveals the challenges and secrets behind successful marriages during a podcast interview with comedian Teju Babyface.
RMD, known for his decades-long acting career, was on the episode of Teju Babyface’s Deep Dive podcast. He offered frank commentary on the challenges faced by individuals in showbiz when it comes to maintaining marital fidelity.
“It is hard, especially if one is in the line of work (showbiz) that we are in,” remarked RMD when discussing the difficulties of remaining faithful amidst external pressures.
He highlighted the constant temptation and scrutiny that celebrities encounter, referring to women as “Delilah and Jezebel” who aim to undermine marital stability. However, amidst these challenges, RMD emphasised the importance of mutual understanding and support between spouses.

“One has to get to a point where one’s wife understands what she’s up against as well,” he explained. He stressed the need for wives to be aware of the dangers their husbands may face and actively protect their marriages.
RMD also shared personal anecdotes, illustrating the depth of his commitment to his wife. “I have the best wife in the world,” he declared, expressing gratitude for her unwavering support during difficult times. RMD emphasised the significance of mutual respect, trust, and communication in sustaining long-lasting marriages.
