No fewer than 50 widows smiled home with bags of rice and cartons of vegetable oil during the routine visit of the District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, comprising Lagos and Ogun states, Ifeyinwa Ejezie, to Rotary Club of Abule Egba Metropolitan.
Also,20 youths were empowered with fumigation machines. The President of the club, Raphael Olabamijo, said the club has been carrying out similar projects for over its 40 years of existence during District Governor’s visit. He disclosed that the project gulped about N2.5m.
“The project we just carried out is It also represents a part of our star project for the Rotary year, which include procurement of four baby cots with mattresses and phototherapy lights to General Hospital, Ile-Epo which we have carried out.
“We have also executed other projects and would do more before the end of the Rotary year,” he said.
