Rotary Club fetes children, adults, patients with gifts in Lagos 

General Hospital, Odan, Lagos

Rotary Club of Ikoyi Metro has donated gift items to 200 adult patients at the General Hospital, Odan, Lagos. The club also gave gifts to 200 children.


The purpose was to provide support and uplift people’s spirits during the festive season and new year celebrations.

Speaking at the event, the president of the club, Adekemi Ololade Folorunsho, said the outreach demonstrates commitment to community service and people’s well-being, adding that it would also strengthen relationships with the hospital.

She recognised the hard work of the hospital staff and commended their dedication in caring for patients.

The president also expressed  gratitude to the District Governor, Ifeyinwa Ejezie, for honouring the outreach with her presence.

Folorunsho, alongside the district governor and other members, engaged in a series of activities during the outreach; speaking to the patients, and sharing words of encouragement and empathy.

The club, under its Maternal and Child Health Project, also donated a canopy and baby kits to the Remi Tinubu Primary Health Centre, Obalende, Ikoyi.

Folorunsho said the donation was one of the primary goals of the Rotary Year to take care of women, put smiles on their faces, and safeguard their babies.

According to her, the club donated the items to support expectant mothers and their newborns.

The baby kits gift pack included basic necessities, such as soap, oil, powder, and sponge.
