SACA urges citizens to be patient, use Lenten season to pray for Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu

The Southern Nigeria Christian Association has called on Nigerians to be wise and use the Lenten season to pray for the country and its leaders.

Chairman of the association, Most Rev’d (Dr) Isaac Nwaobia, who gave the charge in Lagos, yesterday, said that prayers were what Nigerians needed at the moment.

Nwaobia, who also warned the public to desist from fomenting troubles that can cause more pains to Nigerians than what they are going through now, condemned in strong terms the stopping of vehicles carrying food items to the South, urging a rethink.

He said: “Let it not be true because if it is true, the southerners are also capable of stopping oil trucks from going to the North and that will not be healthy for us as a nation. Nigeria is our only country and we must not destroy it.

“This will compound the problem of our people and the government should be allowed to fix the economy.

Also, Secretary of the association, Bishop (Dr) Ajujungwa Joseph, advised President Bola Tinubu to find a lasting solution to the crisis brewing from every corner of the nation.
