Sallah Ambiance

For the Ramadan festival, all that is needed is absolute cleanliness of every nook and cranny of the home with the moon and stars décor accessories, frames or paintings hung in visible section (s) of the sitting room.

However, because there is going to be heavy cooking of different course meals, more attention and caution should be put on the kitchen, as this is where the celebration begins after the Eid-el-Fitr congregation prayers in the morning.

After the 30 days of Ramadan fasting, everyone is tilted towards eating delicious meals and so the kitchen would naturally be the best section of the home, hence the need to keep it well organised while the cooking and serving is ongoing, and the floor dried to avoid anyone slipping.

Another interesting section of the home for the celebration is the dining where ‘dining and wining’ takes place. It is imperative to have a well lit dining space, with all the dishes, cutleries, water jugs, cups, and serving bowls placed orderly.

Finally, as important as it is to have exciting family discussion while eating, talking while eating should be minimised as much as possible to avoid food from entering the windpipe, which can trigger violent coughing and even choking.
