Sallah Celebration: Ikeja LG Secretary donates cash to residents

The Secretary, Ikeja Local Council, Lagos, Akeem Olalekan Dauda, has distributed cash to support residents of the council through community leaders across the six political wards to celebrate Sallah.

The beneficiaries of the cash donation include, traditional rulers, party leaders as well as council and ward executives.

The money was distributed to six community heads (Baales), apex leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the council, all APC chairpersons across the council and ward executive, former council executives, former councilors, former ward chairmen, and other categories of leaders in Ikeja council area.


Recall that Dauda also supported Christians during the last Christmas with food items, comprising bags of rice and other edible materials.

According to Dauda, who is also the Chairman, Conference of Secretaries across 57 LGAs/ LCDAs in Lagos State, the gesture is aimed at supporting leaders and members of the party during the sallah festivity, especially at this time when the country’s economy is in comatose.

Dauda prayed for peace and stability during the Sallah celebration. He also enjoined community leaders and residents in Ikeja Local Council to continue to support the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in a bid to spread good governance across the nooks and crannies of the state.
