A man who is conscious is a fashionable man; he might not necessarily wear it right, but he wears it bold.
The famous fashion designer and founder of Ebewele Brown (EB), a luxury fashion and lifestyle house, founded in 2012 and now recognised for redefining modern African elegance, Osereme Ebewele Brown, clarified the definition of who a fashionable person really is in those words during the unveiling of Sainte collection, a luxury urban streetwear, at Ebewele Brown’ Lagos flagship in Lekki Phase1, recently.
For this fashion visionary and entrepreneur, who is making waves across Africa’s fashion scene with his eponymous brand Ebewele Brown, a fashionable person is not only intentional about his or her outfits but wears them boldly and elegantly.
The EB brand operates through three distinctive fashion lines, each tailored to meet specific lifestyle and sartorial needs as follows:
Ebewele Brown (Signature Line) – An ultra-luxury, made-to-measure line crafted exclusively for men of distinction. Every outfit is one-of-a-kind, built around the client’s unique taste, using the finest fabrics and rare accessories sourced globally. This is the brand’s most prestigious expression of personal style, where excellence meets exclusivity.
OLDWYN – A supremely stylish ready-to-wear collection designed for the modern man who desires elegance on the go. With over 100 sophisticated styles always in rotation, this line blends tradition and modernity, allowing clients to walk in, select, and walk out ready for any high-end occasion without compromise on quality or creativity.
Sainte – The brand’s upscale casual and diffusion line for the young at heart and upwardly mobile.
Featuring premium T-shirts, relaxed pants, shorts, carry-ons, and accessories, Sainte captures global streetwear luxury infused with African soul – produced to international standards and finished to perfection.
When asked how to rate a perfectly designed piece of clothing, Brown, who is both the CEO and Chief Creative Officer of Ebewele Brown, said: “Cleanliness – it has always been and remains our selling point at Ebewele Brown. A perfectly designed piece starts with a clean fabric, the clean cutting, clean tailoring, clean designing, and clean finishing.”

On the ideology behind the brand’s name, the Edo State-born fashion designer said: “Ebewele Brown is a brand named in honour of my late father, Ebewele Brown Francis – a legendary Nigerian sportsman turned politician. It wasn’t just about legacy; it was about accountability. I knew I had to build something that wouldn’t just survive, but would stand tall and worthy of the name of the man it was named after.”
The highly prolific and award-winning fashion designer continues to raise the bar for African fashion through his world-class brand Ebewele Brown, proving that homegrown luxury, rooted in identity and excellence, can resonate globally.
From humble beginnings in Lagos and Abuja, the luxury fashion and lifestyle brand dedicated to Afrocentric design, craftsmanship, and cultural expression now operates from a flagship showroom in Abuja, with thriving branches in Lagos and Conakry, Guinea.
In 2023, Brown launched the Abuja Garment Factory, a 500-square-meter production facility employing over 50 professionals and helping boost local fashion manufacturing capacity.
The standalone factory caters to the needs of the brand and also other brands not related to or affiliated with Ebewele Brown. The Ebewele Brown brand and the Abuja Garment Factory both employ about 100 highly professional staff members.
With a clientele that includes celebrities, political figures, and cultural icons, the multimillion-Naira fashion and lifestyle enterprise has become a beacon of African elegance and innovation, globally acclaimed for its meticulous craftsmanship, Afrocentric sophistication, and storytelling through fashion. The brand offers bespoke couture, ready-to-wear pieces, and accessories that fuse tradition with modernity. Brown remains committed to mentoring emerging talents and inspiring young creatives through his story of transformation and purpose-driven leadership.
At the heart of Ebewele Brown lies a commitment to clean lines, consistent quality, and service-driven value. Every garment is a statement of identity, a celebration of heritage, and a mark of refined taste. With more than a decade of creative excellence, the brand continues to amplify the best of Nigerian culture to the global fashion stage – boldly positioning itself as a future global luxury powerhouse.
