
Nigerian publisher, journalist, fashion designer and events planner, Dr. Debby Goodnews Silas, has added another feather to her cap by bagging a doctorate degree in Humanitarianism from Heart International University, USA.
Debby, who is the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the prestigious D’Cem Awards, was awarded the degree recently after meeting the university’s requirements.
The first Nigerian female to publish the first complete men fashion magazine in Africa, CityMag magazine, Debby is internationally recognised as an exceptional humanitarian.
She is known for selflessly using her platforms, which also include Debby Classique Magazine, to promote upcoming entertainers who are struggling but working hard to better their career by showcasing them; celebrate and honour many celebrities and veterans around the world who have impacted the society positively.
Debby has also equipped many individuals around the world with fashion designing skills free of charge and also coached them to become successful entrepreneurs like her.
Her concern for the welfare of widows, single mothers, people living with physical challenges and children has earned her so much love and respect among her admirers.
Debby, who hails from Isiala Ngwa in Abia State but married to Buchi Silas from Imo State, sees her new status as an incentive to continue to give to the society without expecting anything in return.
