Designed as a movement to promote Africa as a continent of excellence in the global space, the organisers of Global Excellence Summit and Awards (GESA) has announced the 2025 edition billed to take place on May 23-24 at the Oriental Hotel Lagos.

The event which is themed “Global Excellence in Diplomacy and Leadership: Africa’s Path to Prosperity” will attract visionaries, diplomats, political and business leaders as well as seasoned administrators and celebrities from across Africa and the globe.
  
GESA 2025 will foster high-level conversations on diplomacy, governance, international trade, investment, innovation, gender equity, and sustainable development.
  
Convener of GESA 2025, Ambassador (Dr) Fatoumatta Gaye, who is also the Vice Chairperson of the AU Agenda 2063 Women and Gender Committee and CEO of Top3 Solutions, during a media briefing, “GESA 2025 is not just an event, it’s a movement to position Africa as a global force for excellence. We are honouring those who are transforming systems and inspiring progress across the continent.”
  
The Global Excellence Summit and Awards (GESA) 2025, is in partnership with the African Union Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly, United Nations International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC), Nigeria-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Inc., and the International Society of Diplomats.
      
Some of the highlights of the two-day event include; the summit section, which is slated for day one will feature keynote addresses by global and regional leaders. There will be exhibitions and innovation, leadership and diplomacy master classes.

Day two will feature Awards Gala night – Global Excellence Awards; AU Women Impact Awards; and He-for-She Honours for Male Allies.Some of the listed dignitaries are; Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, Minister of State for Labour and Employment; Justice Mainasara Ibrahim Kogo Umar, Chairman, Code of Conduct Tribunal and the High Commissioners from The Gambia, Zambia, Sierra Leone.
